BRUCE PIPER AWARD MONOLOGUE COMPETITION

Twelve candidates from four high schools participated in the Competition on Saturday, 17 October, which was adjudicated by Mervyn McMurtry and Eleanor Stewart.

The candidates were Carissa Marnce and Thakazelo Douw from Grosvenor Girls' High School, Shanice Chinsamy, Jessica Chili, Velencia Heeralall, Kimera Pillay, Aprille Mountford and Nonduduzo Zulu from Northlands Girls' High School, Zamah Nkonyeni and Wesley Floris from Port Shepstone High School and Megan Dunsdon and Hannah Van Teylingen from St Anne's Diocesan College.

The winner was Wesley Floris from Port Shepstone High who performed a monologue from "The Lord of the Rings".
